25 Things I've Learned on my 25th :)

"I was married in Batanes."

"I have a happy family, a wonderful kids, and a loving husband."

"I have a stable job."

"I have my dream "capiz" house built in Batanes"

Well, these were the GOALS i set in mind, back in college, which I "should be" or I "should have" by the time I reached the age of 25. Unfortunately, Life will never be easy living. You have to take each as it comes, and live each day to the fullest.

A quarter century.  Twenty Five years old.  That’s what I’m turning today.  It feels a little weird.  How am I supposed to feel at 25?  I don’t know.  I just got here!  Each year around new years and my birthday I like to think back on little gems throughout my life that I’ve picked up along the way.  The following 25 things are some of those gems.  I hope you enjoy my birthday!

1. You know you're getting older when "Happy Hour" is a nap.

2. The choice of songs you want to play or listen with makes you realize that you're a bit different to what's new

and what most teens or guys on the 20's are into right now. Parang bigla mo naiisip na hindi na bagay sayo yung mga kantang yun.

3. 18 years old guys looks like a cute babies to you.

4. The pressure of "settling down" is a one great big battle when mama gets angry. - "Mag-asawa ka na nga a

t lumayas ka na dito."

5.There is always going to be someone who forgets about your birthday, forget them.

6. Saving is more than on buying something on sale.

8. It's not bad as it seems, Quarter life crisses (QLC) can be more fun. They force you to ACT.

9. You can choose to be happy or choose to be sad. It is a CHOICE. Just like my golden rule says, "Ang lahat ng ngyayari sayo, masama man or mabuti, masaya man or hindi, wala kang dapat pasalamatan or sisihin kungdi yung sarili mo dahil lahat ng nangyayari sayo ay dahil sa desisyon mo. "

10. You get tired of flirting because you're into pressure of settling down for a more matured relationship.

11. If you don't believe in yourself, you can't expect anyone else, too.

12. Almost everything changes, learn to adapt.

13. You've met a different asshole bosses and the greatest revenge you want to give them is that you are at your BEST without them.

         - "The greatest pleaseure in life, is to do the things that others say you can't do."

14. Don't drink, sip.

15. Every tomorrow is a blank slate.

-“Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

16. Smile even if you're crying inside.

17. You easily lose your temper. :) - and i don't want to believe that this is really a sign of aging.

18. People are not going to agree with you. There will be doubters. They don’t matter.

-“Confidence comes not from always being right but not fearing to be wrong”

19. There's no shame on staying at home on a Saturday night.

20. Tell people how you really feel. Life is so short.

21. Everyone has their itch-- find yours and scratch it.

-" You owe it to us all to get on with what you're good at." W. H. Auden

23. Life is terribly ironic. When I drop the anger, hurt, and disappointment, all that's left to do is laugh.

24. I'm like a fine wine, I'm only getting better with age. :)

And lastly, the GREATEST LESSON I've learned is,

25. Let GOD lead your life. All you have to do is follow him. Put God first in every situation and soon, you will realize...Life wouldn't be easy as this.

And now that I'm 25, I couldn't ask for more. I am contented with what each day may bring as long as I have my family, babe, kitties, friends, and above all, GOD.

Thanks and cheers!

Jess :)
